영어영문학부

본 강좌에서는 인공지능(AI)를 활용한 영어교육(TESOL)의 이론 및 원리에 대한 기초를 학습한다. 특히, 다양한 종류의 영어 교수법과 함께, 20세기 영어교육을 주도해온 의사소 통중심의 접근법의 이론 및 실제를 학습한다.

This course provides an introduction to the theories and principles that underpin approaches to English language learning and teaching using artificial intelligence (AI). This class covers the application to the classroom and practical overview of language teaching methodology (including various teaching methods and communicative language teaching approach).

이 강좌는 전문적이고 학문적인 주제를 가지고 글을 쓰는 요령을 배운다. 문장구성, 주제문 작성, 글의 개요쓰기, 수정 및 편집에 이르는 영어 글쓰기의 각 과정을 체계적이고 과학적 으로 학습하고 훈련한다.

This course, an advanced academic writing course, provides students with opportunities to practice professional writing. Students will learn the structure of writing and make thesis statements. Based on the process-oriented approach, students will be engaged in drafting, writing, and revising and be given feedback on their multiple drafts.

캡스톤 프로젝트1에서는 번역학을 중점적으로 다루게 된다. 이 강좌를 통하여 학생들은 그간 수강했던 통번역 관련 강좌에서 축적해 온 학문적 경험을 바탕으로 통번역의 문제를 관찰하고 데이터를 수집/분석하며 통번역(학)의 이론적 틀 내에서 이에 대한 독창적인 분석결 과를 제시함으로써 궁극적으로는 학위논문 작성을 위한 기초능력을 배양한다.

This is an opportunity for students to receive advice and guidance on their thesis and to fulfill other graduation requirements by using the skills and knowledge they have gained during their freshman, sophomore and junior years.

캡스톤 프로젝트2에서는 영어, 통번역전공(복수전공) 학생들을 대상으로 한 졸업논문 준비 /연구 프로젝트이다. 이 강좌를 통하여 학생들은 그간 수강했던 영어학 관련 강좌에서 축적해 온 학문적 경험을 바탕으로 영어 및 관련 언어 자료를 수집/분석하며 영어학의 이론적틀 내에서 이에 대한 독창적인 분석결과를 제시함으로써 궁극적으로는 학위논문 작성을 위한 기초능력을 배양한다.

본 강좌에서는 영어교육과정과 교수요목의 구성 및 내용에 관한 이론 및 실제를 바탕으로 인공지능(AI)을 활용한 영어수업의 구성 및 내용을 연구하는 방법을 학습한다. 또한 영어수업 설계 및 지도안을 직접 작성하고 교재개발 및 마이크로티칭 과정을 연습한다.

This course introduces students to a needs-based, learner-centered approach to designing curricula, courses, and materials. In this course, each student will develop a course unit outline, plan and create materials for one lesson, and demonstrate and evaluate the micro-teaching project using artificial intelligence (AI).

이 강좌는 영어 담화/대화의 분석을 다루며, 이에 대한 다양한 분석 방법을 학습한다. 담화/ 대화 분석은 문장 단위 이상의 언어 구성 및 상황 맥락상의 언어 사용의 양상에 관한 탐구 이다. 먼저, 담화/대화 분석에서의 전통적 이슈들을 개관하고, 이에 대한 다양한 선행 연구 들의 접근 방법들을 검토하게 될 것이다. 다음으로, 최근에 활용도가 높은 빅데이터 분석 방법을 활용하여, 코퍼스 상의 구어 및 문어 담화들을 조사하고 분석하게 될 것이다. 또한 과제 및 자기 주도 학습의 목적으로, 학습자 자신이 담화/대화를 수집하고 분석하며, 4차 산업혁명 시대 환경 변화에 대응하여 새롭고 다양한 관점에서 언어 현상을 파악하고 문제를 발견/해결하는 능력을 함양한다.

This course studies discourse/conversation analysis and the different approaches used in the analysis of discourse/conversation. Discourse/conversation analysis here is defined as the study of the organization of language above the sentence level, but also as any manifestation of language in context. We will start with a general overview of the phenomena included in the study of discourse/conversation, and then proceed on to how a number of approaches have tackled those problems. We will use big data analytics to examine and analyze examples of both spoken and written discourse. Students will be encouraged to collect and analyze their own data for the assignments and investigations.

본 교과목은 이 수업만을 위해 제작한 <파파고를 활용한 번역 모듈>을 사용하여 다양한 장르의 문학번역을 시도해보고 동시에 인간 번역의 결과물을 비교 분석한다. 더 나아가 현재 번역시장 에서 사용하고 있는 번역 메모리 툴을 소개하고 번역을 시도해 봄으로써 각각의 차이점과 한계 점을 논의한다. 이를 통하여 문학번역에 관한 통찰력 함양을 위한 수업을 그 목적으로 한다.

This course attempts to translate various genres of literature using the Papago translation module, which was produced exclusively for this class. It compares and analyzes the results of human translation with the translation done by the Papago translation module. Furthermore, this course introduces translation memory tools currently in use in the translation market and discusses their differences and limitations. The purpose of this course is to develop insight into literary translation.

‘English-Korean Consecutive Interpreting’ 수업에서 익힌 일반적인 환경에서의 영한순 차통역 기술을 바탕으로 기업 및 국제회의 등 보다 전문적인 환경에서의 순차통역을 연습 하는 과목이다.

This course helps aspiring interpreters practice and refine consecutive interpreting techniques acquired from the English-Korean Consecutive Interpreting course to learn how to interpret in specific situations such as international conferences or business meetings.

영화, 드라마, K-팝, 유튜브 등 다양한 미디어를 통해 전달되는 여러 문화 콘텐츠를 통번 역하고 이에 대해 토론하는 과목이다.

Students will gain familiarity with translating and interpreting cultural content such as film, drama, K-pop, or Youtube and discuss diverse approaches 4077to translating and interpreting cultural content from diverse media.

사회, 문화, 과학, 기술 등 다양한 주제 분야의 통번역뿐 아니라 프레젠테이션, 면접, 협상등 보다 광범한 유형의 커뮤니케이션을 훈련하는 과목이다.

This course is to acquaint students with skills to handle various types of communication such as interview, negotiation, or presentation and help them practice translating and interpreting under diverse themes from social, cultural, scientific, and technological fields.
